Our client is rapidly growing player in the plastics industry.  They are seeking an experienced maintenance manager (preferred plastics experience).  .  This is a hands on leadership role not a behind the desk job.   • Build and maintain a high level maintenance team.
  • Mentor and train your team on a daily and consistent basis.  Mentor and train new and existing maintenance technicians.
  • Supervise installation and maintenance of injection equipment, dryers, compressors, labelers, palletizers, and similar manufacturing machinery). 
  • Be able to recommend new vendors and optimized resources to reduce operating costs of equipment.
  • Managers monitor the performance of all members of your team and give appropriate counseling and feedback, including annual reviews.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement, 5-S and Quality initiatives.  
  • Proficient with mechanical and electrical systems and understanding of AC and DC voltages and power transmission systems.
Job Requirements
  • Degree preferred or sufficient related work experience
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience in plastics.
  • Experience with blow molding or injection equipment is a big plus.
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance and running the changeover team and being involved in lean and six sigma training techniques are used to drive changeover times to an optimized level.
  • Strong management, and leadership skills and great communication skills, and desire to be in a team atmosphere.
  • Quick study with new equipment.  Ability to apply systems to new pieces of equipment.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement initiatives, such as Kaizen, 5-S and Lean Manufacturing.
  • The safety of everyone in the plant must be of paramount importance to you.
  • Strong computer skills are required. A good understanding of MS Excel, MS Word.
