They have an opening for a Sales Engineer in the Engineering Department. This group drives company sales growth through hunting for opportunities and responding to a robust lead generation program. The Sales Engineer is responsible for working directly with customers to determine part requirements, and transferring those onto your engineering support team. This involves working with the customer on size requirements, environment, functionality, material, etc. The Sales Engineer is a fast-paced position, which involves consistent growth-related interaction. Sales Engineers work on a base plus bonus compensation structure.
  • Daily customer interaction and prospecting activities.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Responsible for developing assigned territory through frequent customer contact and visits.
  • Maintain customer relationships in assigned territory, including phone and email contact.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers in assigned territory.
  • Work directly with various internal customers (including: Drafting, Customer Service, Estimating, Quality, etc.) on projects and RFQs, pricing, specs, etc.
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess needs and to determine requirements.
  • Travel to visit customers in given territory(s).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
  • A minimum of 3 years strong technical sales experience required.
  • Must possess the ability to develop and maintain customer relationships through excellent communication.
  • Dedicated technical customer contact required.
  • Travel, up to 14 weeks a year.
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis.
